Woman Allegedly Assaulted at Home

SAN CLEMENTE — A woman reported Sunday that she was sexually assaulted at her home early that morning, police said.
Police refused to give any details of the reported assault, other than to say that it happened at a home in the Villamoura Town Home Development in this seaside community.
“Everything is still under investigation and there’s nothing else we can say,” Sgt. Willie Moreno said.
Police said the victim, in her 40s, called at 3:40 a.m. to report that she was assaulted in her home. San Clemente Police Department officers, with the assistance of deputies of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and their bloodhounds, scoured the area, but could not find the woman’s attacker, Moreno said.
It was not immediately known if the woman knew her assailant.
