* * George Michael and Queen With Lisa Stansfield. “Five Live,” Hollywood. The class of this live EP is a sizzling, 11-minute remake of the Temptations’ “Papa Was a Rolling Stone”--with “Killer” woven in. The excess baggage is Michael’s typically overwrought ballads--”Calling You,” the Queen classic “Somebody to Love” (from last year’s Freddie Mercury tribute concert) and “These Are the Days of Our Lives,” weighed down by the drab Stansfield.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor), two stars (fair), three stars (good) and four stars (excellent).
