Fairfax d. Huntington Park, 15-5, 15-10, 15-2--Fairfax middle hitter Dave Josephsen put down 18 kills and setter Nipsy Macahilig added 24 assists as the seventh-seeded Lions defeated 10th-seeded Huntington Park at Fairfax High.
Huntington Park (6-5) came back to take a 9-2 lead midway in the second game, but Fairfax (7-4) answered with 12 consecutive points to regain control of the game and match.
Middle blocker Erny Gastelum made seven kills and setter Nacho Cisneros added five assists to lead Huntington Park.
