Construction of a 32-unit low-income housing complex at the southeast corner of Valencia and 12th streets is to begin in June.
Crescent Court will include 1,300-square-foot, three-bedroom single-family apartments with private garages and patios as well as a common play area for children, said Phillip Bonina, director of real estate development for the Los Angeles Neighborhood Development Corp., a nonprofit affordable-housing developer.
Tenants will be selected according to income and will pay $450 rent per month, Bonina said.
