What’s Up, Family?: Warner Bros. is challenging family-fare champion the Walt Disney Co. by introducing a new logo that designates certain film, music and video fare as “family entertainment.” Warners said the designation will appear as a banner around the familiar studio crest logo with Bugs Bunny leaning against the crest munching a carrot. It will debut with the feature film “Dennis the Menace” in June. Company executives said they are adding the label “to help make it easier for people to find what they’re looking for at Warner Bros.” Warners has a history of a full spectrum of entertainment, while Disney in recent years has made a push to expand its family image to include adult fare.
