Four Star Acquires 50% of Genesis Entertainment

Genesis Entertainment, a private Agoura Hills company that produces and distributes television shows, said Four Star International Inc. has acquired a 50% equity interest in the firm.

Genesis did not disclose the purchase price. But as part of the agreement, Genesis said it would acquire television distribution rights to Four Star’s library, which includes more than 160 feature films as well as television series.

Four Star is a subsidiary of the Andrews Group of New York, which is a unit of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, a diversified holding company owned by Ronald O. Perelman.
