Haft Feud Heats Up: Gloria Haft filed for legal separation from her husband, Herbert, alleging a financial “blitzkrieg of illegal activity” in recent months to maintain his control of the family business empire. Herbert Haft responded with an angry statement denying Gloria’s charges. The Hafts are battling for control of retailing and real estate holdings valued at between $500 million and $1 billion. The principal assets are Crown Books and Trak Auto.
