LOS ANGELES : Council Sidesteps Issue of Holden’s Legal Costs

Los Angeles City Council members on Wednesday ducked the question of whether the city should pay to defend fellow lawmaker Nate Holden against sexual harassment allegations--leaving the politically charged decision to the city attorney’s office.
After five separate sessions to discuss the matter, the council was still divided on the issue.
Holden has been accused by three former aides of sexual harassment.
