I have to comment on the KCET pledge drives during weekday mornings.
The pledge drive is nothing more than the pimping of our children. The whole point of PBS stations is to give my child wholesome and educational television without being pressured by sales pitches. I could potentially be the “bad guy” in the eyes of my child because I do not give into the nice man or lady on the TV.
Pitch to me in the evenings, when it is 100% my decision. Leave the mornings for my child and Big Bird to be alone.
