SPORTSCOPE : After 1-1 Trip, Loyola Returns Home for 2 League Matches

The Loyola Marymount women’s volleyball team will play host to two West Coast Conference rivals this weekend.
Tonight, the Lions (13-5, 3-1 in conference) will play St. Mary’s (6-11, 0-3) at 7. On Saturday night, Loyola will meet conference leader San Diego (15-1, 3-0).
Loyola beat San Francisco in three games and lost to defending league champion Santa Clara in five games last weekend.
Loyola is led by freshman outside hitter Suzanne Radcliffe, who has 181 kills and 26 aces. *
The Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s soccer team will play a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Cal State L.A. on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The Toros are 6-4-1, 2-2-1 in the CCAA after Wednesday’s 2-0 league victory over Bakersfield. *
The Tracy Austin pro-celebrity charity tennis tournament is scheduled for Oct. 23 at the West End Racquet and Health Club in Torrance.
The event will benefit the South Bay Children’s Hospital. Among the celebrities scheduled to participate are model Kim Alexis. Besides matches, the event will include a silent auction featuring signed sports memorabilia and vacation packages. Admission is $10. (310) 373-0103.
