American Airlines Flight Attendants OK Strike Authorization: Flight attendants at the airline voted in favor of authorization by 92.9%, said Denise Hedges, president of the union. “We hope it sends an equally stunning message to management,” Hedges said at a press conference. Hedges said she expects the union’s board to give her authorization today to call a strike if necessary.
