Killybrooke Elementary School’s annual Jog-a-Thon, intended to raise funds for field trips, classroom supplies, art and science education, is today.
Students have collected pledges and will run up to 20 laps around a 220-yard track in 45 minutes. Sponsors pledge to pay a certain amount per lap.
Runners will also earn prizes, such as gift certificates, a bicycle, video games and trips to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. One of the top money-makers will win the special grand prize, lunch with Kansas City Royals’ catcher Brent Mayne, a Killybrooke graduate.
