CHICK COREA ELEKTRIC BAND II “Paint the World” GRP Using new players and a more relaxed feel than in the past, the keyboardist offers a refreshing version of his plugged-in unit. Spotlighting acoustic piano at times, and focusing elsewhere on the Rhodes electric piano, the keyboardist has written open-sounding tunes that recall his old Return to Forever bands. Drummer Gary Novak and guitarist Mike Miller are standouts.
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to four stars (excellent). Five-star ratings are reserved for classic reissues.
