Jimmy Landress scored on a one-yard run with 3 minutes 10 seconds remaining to give Granada Hills High a 35-34 Northwest Valley Conference upset of Reseda on Friday night at Reseda.
Travion Trammel scored three of his four touchdowns in the second half to give the Regents a 34-28 lead.
However, Landress, a junior quarterback, capped an eight-play, 69-yard drive with a sneak, and kicker Grant Hansen added the point after for the margin of victory.
Reseda (6-3, 3-3 in West Valley League play) had an opportunity to answer and moved the ball to the Highlander 48-yard line.
However, quarterback Reggie James’ pass was intercepted by defensive back Eric Richardson at the Granada Hills 26-yard line in the final minute.
Granada Hills (2-7, 2-4 in North Valley League play) then ran out the clock.
Landress completed 13 of 21 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a second-quarter scoring run.
