Euro Disney Stock Slide Prompts Inquiry: France’s Commission des Operations de Bourse, its stock market watchdog, launched an investigation into the recent dramatic price movements of the shares two days after Euro Disney’s stock fell 17% in one afternoon. The stock had dropped 9% in the two preceding days. Euro Disney shares have been battered since the company announced this month that the Euro Disneyland theme park lost nearly $1 billion in the year ended Sept. 30. The losses are blamed on poor attendance, vacant hotel rooms, low souvenir sales and a depressed Paris real estate market slowing development of Euro Disney-owned land near the park.
