SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Brooklyn McLinn has told his Cal State Northridge teammates that he will keep his head shaved until they win.
After the Matadors dropped to 0-4 by losing to Southwest Missouri State, 59-43, Friday in the first round of the SMSU Classic, the Matadors’ senior guard was fretting over his decision. “It might be a long, cold-head season,” McLinn said.
Johnny Murdock scored a game-high 20 points for the Bears (3-0), who shot only 40% but outrebounded Northridge, 53-30.
Chris Yard led Northridge with 11 points. Andre Chevalier added 10 points and tied a school record with seven steals.
