LOS ANGELES : Section of Wilshire Blvd. Closed This Weekend

Wilshire Boulevard has been closed to traffic for the weekend between Serrano Avenue and Manhattan Place.
The busy thoroughfare was closed 7 p.m. Friday, officials said, to allow workers to remove the temporary wood decking covering the Wilshire-Western Red Line station construction site. Wilshire is scheduled to reopen to traffic at 7 a.m. Monday.
Westbound traffic will be detoured north at Serrano Avenue onto 6th Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north at Manhattan Place to 6th Street. Western Avenue will remain open. Only local traffic will be allowed on Oxford Avenue between 6th and 7th streets.
