Magazine Rates the Best Cities for Entrepreneurial Women: Boston tops the list, compiled by Working Woman magazine in its March issue, of cities most hospitable to women business owners. Three California cities were on the list: San Francisco (No. 4), Los Angeles (No. 8) and San Diego (No. 10). Cities were rated on the number, growth and revenues of businesses owned by women and access to capital and support. Also on the list were: New York (No. 2), which leads in sheer numbers of women business owners; Columbus, Ohio (No. 3); Philadelphia (No. 5); Indianapolis (No. 6); and Baltimore (No. 9).
