Following Arsenio

Arsenio Hall’s place on the late-night dial is secure (“Are the Dog Days Here for Arsenio?,” March 10), not because he aims to compete with David Letterman or Jay Leno but because his program offers something unique to viewers: variety programming that showcases the kinds of acts one doesn’t see elsewhere on TV, as well as a nightly hour that is not as rigidly bound by format as other late-night shows (which is why the Farrakhan show was so phenomenal).
Important too is the fact that Hall is a personable fellow, with great wit and terrific style. KCOP can move Hall wherever it wants; I will continue to follow.
