* Go often. You never know when a great deal might turn up. Stores receive donations throughout the week.
* Keep an open mind. Look at everything in the store.
* If you can’t alter it yourself, leave it on the rack.
* Buy clothes you would normally wear. Don’t be persuaded by low prices.
* Look at the lining and stitching of each garment. Search for odors, holes, discoloration and snags.
* Be sure everything fits, because most stores have a no-return policy.
