League of Voters to Host Conference

The Ventura County League of Women Voters is hosting a conference titled “Social Issues and the Global Economy” on May 6 at the Ventura Doubletree Hotel.
Featured speakers will include Donald Villarejo of the California Institute for Rural Studies, Marilyn F. Solomon of UNICEF, and Jamshid Damooei of Cal Lutheran University.
The luncheon keynote speaker will be Joel Kotkin, author of “Tribes: How Race, Religion, and Identity Determine Success in the New Global Economy.”
