The Pride of L.A.

If Charles Marowitz wants to continue his tired and all too predictable tirade against the Mark Taper Forum (doesn’t he have anything else to do?), he should at least get his facts straight (“Tonys Cheer Taper, What’s It Mean?,” May 18). Both “The Kentucky Cycle” and “Angels in America” were significantly developed and given major exposure at the Taper.
The three Tony Award nominations for Taper plays (including Anna Deavere Smith’s “Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992”) are a source of pride and celebration for all of Los Angeles. So, Marowitz, give it a rest. Quit your carping!
