Fed Minutes Reveal Divisions: Federal Reserve Board policy-makers were divided on how much to raise short-term interest rates at their March meeting, but in the end voted 8 to 2 to boost rates by only a quarter of a percentage point, according to minutes of the meeting released Friday. Since then, the Fed has raised short-term rates twice, by another quarter of a point April 18 and by half a point earlier this week.
