Strawberry Case Shows Dodgers Should Grow Players on the Farm
- Share via
The release of Darryl Strawberry might be the end of an era in which the Dodgers enter the free-agency market.
Don Stanhouse, Dave Goltz and Strawberry are on the negative side of the equation. Granted, Kirk Gibson, Brett Butler, Kevin Gross, Tom Candiotti and Tim Wallach (this year) have been good pickups, but now that their minor league system is producing so well, as evidenced by the Dodgers’ good start in 1994, this is the way to go. The great Dodger teams of the past were built from the organization, and now they are back on the right track.
