Elliott quit for personal reasons. He has been the Lancers’ coach the last 10 years. He had a record of 156-112-1 and won three league championships, the only three baseball titles in the school’s history. The Lancers won their first league championship in 1985, Elliott’s first season.
Sunny Hills was 14-14 and finished second in the Freeway League this season. The Lancers lost to Brea-Olinda, 6-2, in the first round of the Southern Section Division II playoffs.
