Hadda Brooks Set for St. Moritz in August

Singer-pianist Hadda Brooks inaugurates a live music policy at the new St. Moritz Restaurant-at-the-Club, performing every Friday and Saturday in August starting at 9 p.m.
The entertainer will appear in the upcoming film “The Crossing Guard,” starring Jack Nicholson and Anjelica Huston, and has two new CD releases: “That’s My Desire,” featuring Brooks’ recordings from the ‘40s and ‘50s, and a new album, “Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere.” Last year Brooks received the Pioneer Award from the Smithsonian Institution’s Rhythm and Blues Foundation.
