Man Shot in Spine in Gang Incident

NORTH HILLS — A 21-year-old man was shot in the spine early Sunday morning in a gang-related incident at the corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Roscoe Street, Los Angeles police said.
Nelson Ramirez of North Hollywood was shot in the back at 1:30 a.m. with a 9 millimeter handgun, injuring his spinal chord. He was treated at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, where he was reported in stable condition, according to police.
Police reported no suspects in the shooting.
