PLACENTIA : 6 Take Out Papers for Council Races
- Share via
Six people, including the two incumbents, have taken out candidacy papers for the November City Council election. At stake are the council seats held by Carol Downey and Norman Z. Eckenrode.
One of the possible candidates is Dale Goodman, a member of the city’s Advisory Council on the Disabled and a frequent council critic. The former health care administrator was part of the group that protested last year’s utility tax hike.
Other residents who have taken out nomination papers are L. Ray Estes, 41, a traffic manager for a warehouse and shipping company; John Hoevers, 34, a senior account manager for an elevator company; and James Itow, 49, a facilities manager for Orange County Superior Court.
The filing period closes Aug. 12.
