Recruits for Arts Program Sought

ARTS Inc., a nonprofit organization that supplies technical assistance to the arts community, is recruiting business, government and community volunteers for its Arts Leadership Initiative, a training program created to identify and train a new generation of arts leaders.
About 20-25 people will be selected for the 12-week spring program, which starts Sept. 20 and consists of weekend and evening site visits, seminars, interviews, panel discussions and performances dealing with current issues facing the arts. Cultural democracy, fund raising, financial planning and marketing will be covered.
Applications are due by Sept. 2; the program has a $395 registration fee. Information: (213) 627-9276.
