Ocean View’s Ponce Picks Arizona St.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Ocean View pitcher Kathy Ponce announced Tuesday that she will attend Arizona State on a softball scholarship.

Ponce, a senior, was a Times all-county selection after going 17-5 with a 0.20 earned-run average last year. She has a 33-8 record the last two seasons.

Ponce also visited Ohio State, Michigan State, Indiana and Creighton.
