The holiday spirit is evident across Orange County, from the Ritz Carlton, seasonably chic, to Disneyland, with its daily Christmas parade, and, of course, John Wayne Airport.
John Wayne Airport? Yes. On Sunday, the airport will deck its halls with children’s artwork. The “Flights of Fancy” exhibit will include 89 works selected from 1,340 entries.
Dance groups and high school and college choral groups will perform in the food court of the main terminal, as well as stroll about.
“I hope that not only those traveling through John Wayne Airport this holiday season, but all members of our community, will come to enjoy and share in the holiday spirit,” Airport Director Janice Mittermeier said.
The holiday festival at the airport through Jan. 15 will include 14 performance groups. They include mariachis, a singing harpist, ballet folklorico, a barbershop quartet and brass bands.
