WASHINGTON — For $98, the Government Printing Office will sell you a five-volume set that includes the President’s budget message, an appendix, a collection of tables, a citizen’s guide to the budget process and a collection of “analytical perspectives.”
The citizen’s guide is available separately for $2.75. And this year, for the first time, consumers can also buy the budget on a compact disk.
For those in a hurry, a disk with an abridged version of the budget and tables is available now for $24. If you’re willing to wait 10 days, you can buy the unabridged budget on disk for the same price.
The books or the CD-ROM version can be ordered from the printing office by calling 1-202-512-1800 or by writing to Superintendent of Documents, U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402-9325.
