WASHINGTON : Clinton-Kohl Talks

President Clinton meets German Chancellor Helmut Kohl at the White House Thursday for talks sure to be dominated by the crises in Bosnia and the breakaway Russian region of Chechnya.
In both conflicts the United States and Germany are trying, without much success so far, to find peaceful solutions.
“Relations with Germany have never been better,” a White House official said. “The President and Chancellor Kohl will renew their friendship and continue discussions of European economic and security concerns.”
