THOUSAND OAKS : School to Hold Parenting Workshop
- Share via
Madrona Elementary School in Thousand Oaks will hold a parenting workshop tonight, offering parents approaches to discipline, peer pressure and promoting children’s self-esteem.
Marriage and family counselor Howard Levitt will lead the workshop, which begins at 7 p.m. and is expected to last more than an hour.
School officials hope the one-night event will give mothers and fathers ideas on how to tackle some of the more difficult aspects of parenting.
“Those are the things that parents want to know,” said parent Nancy Frawley, who helped organize the event. “The idea is that everybody is going through the same kind of thing and here are some ways to deal with it.”
The workshop is open to the public and will be held in the school library, 621 Camino Manzanas.
