Charyle Kraige, a 22-year Ventura County resident and bookkeeper for her family’s printing business, has died after a brief illness. She was 76.
Kraige was born in Alameda, where she grew up before moving to Southern California, said her son, Spensar Kraige of Ventura.
When the family moved to Ventura in 1973, she began working as a bookkeeper and accountant for United Printing, a commercial printing shop in Ventura. “She was very, very kind,” her son said. “She never had bad words for anybody, and people always enjoyed working with her.”
Spensar Kraige said his mother was active, energetic and vibrant until her rheumatoid arthritis worsened considerably.
Besides Spensar, she is survived by another son, Daryle; two daughters, Annett and Judith; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
