The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol will set up sobriety checkpoints from 8 tonight to 3 a.m. Friday.
The two checkpoints will be in Agoura Hills and Calabasas. Typically, about eight drunk drivers are arrested at such checkpoints out of the 400 to 1,000 motorists stopped, said Sgt. Kevin Mauch of the Lost Hills sheriff’s station.
Mauch also warned that a second police car will be on hand to follow vehicles that make a U-turn to avoid the checkpoints.
