CALABASAS : County to Teach Compost Techniques

A free workshop in composting techniques is being offered to interested members of the community starting March 20 at Calabasas City Hall.
The county’s back-yard composting program is sponsoring the workshop, which will meet once a week for six weeks. Each class will last four hours.
Those who complete the workshop will be asked to donate a minimum of 50 hours of community service teaching composting to others.
The program is sponsored by the county Department of Public Works, Department of Parks and Recreation and University of California Cooperative Extension.
