COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Northridge Beats Titans in Tennis

Cal State Northridge’s doubles teams were the deciding factor in a 5-3 victory over Cal State Fullerton in a nonconference women’s tennis match Thursday at Fullerton.
Kara Kolb, Christa Hanson and Nicole Kilian won their singles matches for Cal State Fullerton, but both of the Titans’ doubles team were defeated.
Kolb beat Jennifer Cotone, 6-4, 0-6, 7-6, Hanson beat Asa Arola, 6-3, 6-4. Kilian’s beat Ann Borali, 6-2, 6-4.
Arola and Lilian Ore defeated Titans’ Renee Ivy and Jennifer Canfield at No. 1 doubles, 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, and the Titans were beaten, 6-4, 6-3, in the other.
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s tennis:
Westmont 8, Southern California College 1--Quynh Le and Wendy Andel won at No. 1 doubles, 7-5, 6-3, for the Vanguards (10-5, 2-3). Westmont is 13-5, 5-0.
