LAGUNA NIGUEL : Commission to Discuss Long-Term Park Plans
- Share via
The Parks and Recreation Commission tonight will discuss long-range plans for parks in the city.
Recreation officials are asking for help from the public to decide how to invest several hundred thousand dollars in local recreation facilities.
“We want people to let the commission know what they think is of vital importance,” Parks Manager Kerry Bartelt said.
The commission will discuss the merits of wide-ranging projects such as a teen center, a proposed botanical preserve and group picnic shelters.
With capital projects often taking years to complete, one of the group’s major tasks will be prioritizing how soon those projects go from drawing board to construction, Bartelt said. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 27801 La Paz Road.
