Did anyone else do a double-take while reading your baseball report on April 11 in which Tom Lasorda commented on newly signed Dodger Rob Murphy? “I remember him in Cincinnati, and they just wore that guy down. A guy can only stand so much.”
This coming from the guy who overused both Fernando Valenzuela and Orel Hershiser to the point that they both blew out their arms? This coming from the guy who may well have ruined the career of college player of the year and second overall draft pick Darren Dreifort by overusing him in his first season?
I think Tommy has lost it.
