COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Fullerton’s Thomas Drives In Winning Run

Senetha Thomas doubled home Chris Zboril in the fourth inning with the game’s only run to give visiting Cal State Fullerton a 1-0 victory over Utah State in Big West Conference softball game Friday in Logan, Utah.
It was the first home loss for Utah State. Brandi Isgar (14-4) got the victory in the pitchers’ duel, giving up five hits, one walk and striking out two for the Titans (29-11, 9-4).
Utah State (24-17, 12-5) plays host to Cal State Fullerton at noon today.
In nonconference softball:

Concordia 5-6, Pacific Christian 2-5--Concordia scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to get the victory in the second game.
Kelli Armbruster (5-5), a transfer from Orange Coast College, picked up the victory on the mound and was two for two at the plate. Alissa Zapatka was two for three in the first game for Concordia (15-20).
Karen Kelly went three for five on the day, including a double, for Pacific Christian (7-25).
