LANCASTER — The body of a transient woman who apparently died of natural causes was found Wednesday morning by her husband in an abandoned building, authorities said.
Linda Sue Bowden, 37, was found about 8:40 a.m. in the building near Sierra Highway and Avenue L-12, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Don Bear.
“There appears to be no evidence of foul play and she had a history of diabetes, so I’m going to make an educated guess and say I think she died of natural causes,” Bear said.
Firefighters arrived after the body was discovered, but they were unable to revive her, said Capt. Cory Rehbeck of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“She had probably been dead for several hours,” he said.
