NORTH HOLLYWOOD — More than 50 firefighters battled a blaze Sunday morning that caused $250,000 in damage to a North Hollywood appliance store before it was extinguished an hour later, authorities said.
The fire at the King of the Valley appliance store in the 6200 block of Lankershim Boulevard started about 4:20 a.m. The cause is under investigation, said Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
The fire burned through the roof of the single-story store, causing the rear portion of the ceiling to collapse. No one was injured in the fire, Wells said.
