Sprint Expected to Announce European Pact: Sprint Corp., France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom will announce today that a long-delayed alliance is going ahead on revised terms, a source close to the deal said. “It will financially be close to what the original [memorandum of understanding] said, though the structure might be different,” said the source, who asked not to be identified. The original deal, announced last June, was for the two European state-owned carriers to invest a total $4.2 billion in the No. 3 U.S. long-distance company for a 20% stake in it. The stake is still 20%, but the other terms will be announced.
