Vietnam Executes Heroin Smuggler

HANOI — A Briton convicted of smuggling a suitcase of heroin into Vietnam in 1993 has been executed by a government firing squad, official media said Wednesday.
Hong Kong-born Wong Chi Shing, 34, died Tuesday, becoming the first foreigner killed in a state-ordered execution since the Vietnam War ended in 1975.
