BRIEFLY : Recycling: Centers Accept Motor Oil

Do-it-yourself mechanics can safely dispose of used motor oil at two recycling centers. The newest is in Malibu at 23555 Civic Center Way, which is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Earlier this month, another center opened in Marina del Rey at 13483 Fiji Way. It is open seven days a week and is staffed by attendants Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Both centers will have attendants to help people dispose of their used oil and oil filters. There is no charge.
