Home Loan Rates Dip: Home mortgage rates edged lower in the week ended June 23, with the 30-year fixed rate falling to an average of 7.53% from 7.55% last week, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. said. The rate for 15-year, fixed-rate mortgages slid to 7.01% from 7.03%. The rate on adjustable loans tied to the one-year Treasury index fell to 5.84% from 5.88%. A year ago, a 30-year loan averaged 8.46%, the 15-year was 8%, and the adjustable loan rate was 5.41%. The rates do not include fees known as points.
