Capitol Records Promotes Sales Official: Sales and marketing specialist Lou Mann was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Capitol Records. Mann, who started his career 22 years ago at CBS Records, ran the sales departments at Arista Records and MCA Music Entertainment before joining Thorn EMI’s Capitol Records in 1988.
