Ventana Global Capital Group: A Bankruptcy Court judge in Pittsburgh has approved the $29.4-million purchase of Pittsburgh Brewing Co., maker of Samuel Adams and Iron City beers, by an investor group that includes Irvine-based Ventana. The Keystone Brewing Group, which also includes Pittsburgh businessman James Gehrig, told U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Joseph L. Cosetti that it has no plans for major personnel changes at Pittsburgh Brewing, which employs 325 people.
Pittsburgh Brewing’s parent, Pittsburgh Food and Beverage Co., entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings last spring.
