PALMDALE — The parents of a 3-month-old Palmdale baby who died last week were released from custody Tuesday after a coroner’s autopsy showed their daughter died of natural causes, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
Thomas Lalonde, 28, and Gloria Chezalier, 37, were released after an autopsy determined their daughter died of sleep apnea, a sleeping disorder, Deputy George Duculombier said. They had been arrested on suspicion of child endangerment Friday by sheriff’s homicide detectives after calling 911 to report that their baby was not breathing. The baby died shortly after their call.
Duculombier said no charges will be filed against the couple.
